Dr. Laurie Daley-Simmonds Bach Sc (Chiro)
Canadian born Laurie started her working career as a Registered
Nurse in the Canadian City of Calgary close to the Rocky Mountains.
Her work in Cardiology, Casualty, Palliative Care and Mental Health
gave her a solid grounding in the health industry. Believing there
was more to health care than looking after the sick she applied
to become a Chiropractor in 1988. She was by this time living in
Melbourne Australia and enrolled at R.M.I.T. to study for her Bachelor
of Applied Science (Chiro) These studies were to finish in 1994
and Laurie established herself in practice in the Victorian Country
town of Kyabram where she was to practice until the lure of home
drew her back to Canada in 1997. At this time she also married Australian
husband Peter.
On completion of the rigorous Canadian Board exams Laurie commenced
practice in the inner city of Inglewood, Calgary where her busy
practice soon became a platform for her passion in disease prevention
and holistic approach to health. Five years passed quickly but the
Cold Canadian winters were too much for Australian husband Peter
so a move back to the south east coast of Queensland was an easy
choice of location where Laurie has been practicing since 2002.
Laurie believes the Currumbin Valley offers a special healing environment
and her holistic approach to health is the key to modern Chiropractic
practice.
Her experience involves lifestyle coaching, Neuro emotional technique
(NET), thirteen years as a practising Chiropractor. She has also
studied extensively the affects of supplementation benefits in our
modern lifestyles. These studies have revealed a definite connection
between the control of degenerative disease (Cardiovascular Disease,
Cancer, Diabetes, Alzheimer's dementia, etc.) and the use of quality
nutritional supplements. |
